Historical Bath

The following piece is painting on board with photocopies and plastic.

In my first year of moving to Bath, I became fascinated with the architecture and the history surrounding this magical little city.
The people that built this city, the culture, the Roman Baths, the architects themselves, and how its changed and become what it is today.
I found out all sorts about the origin of the baths, the goddess Sulis Minerva, curse tablets and servants.
The architecture in particular stood out, so many stories, and many traces of the past and present. The stone, the windows (in particular the blocked out windows, due to window tax), the doors, the street lights. Though it is magnificent in its design, I couldn't quite get rid of this feeling of uneasiness. Almost like I was uncovering an undercurrent of hidden activity. Ghosts..? When I dug deeper into the history the more strange stories I would uncover, particularly about haunted buildings.
The stone work I think, as much as it is grand, it is also now grey, and this greyness sweeps over the city, like a ghostly mist.
Secretly there is a dull monotonous heart beat of a city put to rest.
